UR® comes from the Norwegian word ur — original, primal, and fundamental. It represents instinct, early knowledge, and the raw strength that enables us to act intuitively.
Instinct before complexity — these abilities have been shaped through countless generations. We still carry them within us, and when cognitive capacity is reduced and complexity falls away, they become available again.
Knowledge shaped by nature — we draw inspiration from indigenous cultures and early societies, where people lived close to nature and every resource carried value.
Equipment refined by use — protective wearable shelters were shaped by those who depended on them — refined through experience, built to last, and improved by listening to real use.
